Michigan Repays Debt to Veterans With Housing Help

As Veterans’ Day approaches, communities throughout Michigan are stepping up their efforts to help end or prevent homelessness for former members of the military.

In Northern Michigan, homeless veterans from 29 counties are being welcomed to the new Patriots Place duplexes in Gaylord. The Volunteers of America in Detroit are celebrating the grand opening of transitional housing for 60 vets on Veterans’ Day. And in Battle Creek, Silver Star Apartments has 75 units offering housing and easy access to services for West Michigan’s vets.
