As Michigan’s students prepare for a new school year, educators and leaders of the Campaign to End Homelessness are mindful that thousands of students will have no home to return to when classes are out for the day.

Nearly 23,000 Michigan students were identified as homeless during the 2009-10 school year, according to the most recently available statistics.
